Cash for Clutter

I'm a big fan of getting rid of EVERYTHING I don't need.  The benefit is two-sided.  I remove clutter and excess junk from my home.  And, I can gain extra cash!

In December alone, I sold an old stool, bookcase and rocking chair.  By selling these pieces, I gained extra space and $75 in my pocket.

Think of your unwanted possessions.  Do they have value?  If so, SELL it!  If not, donate it.  Either way, you will be pleased lighten your unwanted load.

Coca-Cola Green Tea??

Hopefully, I'm not jumping the gun on this one, but did you know Coca-Cola has a Green Tea?  I didn't, but apparently it's done really well in Japan!  And it's getting launched here in the states next month.

Just heard about a 2 week random job - Jan 16th-31st - it's a promotion to launch the new product.  I'll be the Team Lead for Tucson, AZ!  Los Angeles and Phoenix will also be graced with Coca-Cola Green Tea samples as well (available at your local Whole Foods).

A great promotional company out of NYC, called Method Models is over this one.  Method Models is based out of NYC, but works on promotions all over.  Check out their website to find out what they are promoting in your area!  Should be fun to work for Coca-Cola Green Tea, I'm ready for a good two weeks of randomness!!!

Commercial Shoot

Ooops, I quickly posted and then was forced to remove my previous post.  I did work on a commercial in Atlanta, but the product, shoot pictures and details must remain a mystery until the commercial actually airs.

Turns out the company doesn't want any information about their product leaked until they are ready.  Note to self....no one but me reads this blog, so I think they are ok until the air date!!

I'll re-post the pictures once I have clearance :)

Amazon

I've mentioned this before, but since the move to AZ, I've put a few books for sale on Amazon.  Thought I would share that $48.62 will be deposited into my account.  Not bad for books I haven't read or seen for over a year :)

Coupons

Even though coupons are not exactly MAKING money, you are SAVING money that you would otherwise be spending.  Therefore, I am a HUGE fan of coupons!

Just FYI....the last two weeks I've saved $20 on groceries because of coupons.  That makes me VERY happy!!  Think about it....$20/week OR $80/month OR $1040/year!!!

Plus, it's easy.  Check out coupons.com, your local newspaper and the coupons that come in the mail.  Add them together on everyday items that you buy anyway.  You'll be saving before you know it!

Hair Show

Dec 7, 2010

I'm a little late posting this one, but last week I came across a posting for a Hair Show Model.  In all honesty, I was in desperate need of a cut and color!!  With Christmas just a few weeks away, I didn't think I could justify spending $150 on the much needed job.

So, this random job was just what I needed!!  A salon called Toni & Guy was launching several new haircuts.  They needed people to rock the new hair cut while they taught their employees how to do it.  I knew from the beginning what I was getting into....they would keep my length, but create some killer bangs.  The color was going to be pretty natural (cinnamon with blonde highlights around my face).

I was all over this one!  In Atlanta, I was too afraid to participate in a hair show because my headshot needed to look exactly like me.  Now that we are in Arizona, I'm ready to give the hair show a go!!

I received a fantastic haircut and color.  My stylist were top of their game and I would have paid well over $200 (without tip) for the cut and color.  Though I was not paid, the luxury service was well with my time!

Here are a few pics of my new west coast look....

Coke Zero Promo

Today was my first of two days with the Coke Zero Promo.  It was actually super fun.  No bimbos or liquor shots to pour.  Just good ole fashion fun!  University of Arizona students scored a free Coke Zero, no strings attached!  It was fantastic.

Oh, and after just one day, I got a raise!  I have been promoted to Team Lead.  Woohoo!  Just means everyone checks in with me, but it's an extra $2/hour for me.  Not too bad :)  I'm stoked!

This particular promotion is managed by a company called Redline Staffing.  Redline is based out of North Carolina, but works on promotions all over the US.  Check out their website and become a "Redliner" in your area!
